Udio Charts FAQ
1. How do songs get on the Chart?
Songs are added to the voting pool in two ways. All songs submitted to the official Udio Weekly Song Thread will be eligible, subject to creator consent. Then, each participant may submit a list of ten tracks that have caught their attention, including one of their own.
2. What is the submission deadline?
The deadline for submitting tracks for inclusion in the chart is midnight on Sunday, US central time.
3. What happens next?
All the submitted tracks are compiled into a voting list which is then shared with all participants.
4. How long do I have to vote?
Voting commences when the list is posted and ends at midnight on Wednesday, US central time.
5. Do the tracks have to be on Udio?
No, but they have to have been substantially created (at least 50%) using the Udio platform and tools. You can send links to YouTube, Bandcamp, SoundCloud or whatever if you have added your own recorded elements.
6. How is the Chart determined?
Any track receiving at least 2 votes will be included, however as the list hopefully grows we will focus on a Top 20.
7. Anything else?
Sure, open to suggestions. It might be fun each week to profile the Number One artist and maybe one or two of the notable new entries. I guess we'll see.
8. Contact info?
I am reachable either by commenting on the blog, email mineforlifeuk@gmail,com or send me a chat on Reddit, profile name is Latter-Willingness83
9. What's the point?
The point is very simple, but also very meaningful to me personally. For many years I let myself believe I could not write a good song, or sing, or arrange music, etc. I wasted a lot of time due to lack of motivation and encouragement. My message to everyone is, yes you can, your voice and style should be heard. There is no bad music, only music that has room to grow and flourish, if you are open to learn and try new things out.
